  1. INS Trishul, a frontline warship of the Indian Navy has visited Durban from 6-9 June, 2023 to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the 7 June, 1893 incident at Pietermaritzburg Railway Station near Durban as also 30 years of re-establishment of diplomatic relations between India and South Africa. 
  2. West Bengal Government has launched buses with air purifiers in the state capital, Kolkata, to bring down pollution levels in the city.
  3. Veteran banker V Anantharaman has been appointed as the Non-Executive Chairman of credit bureau TransUnion CIBIL.
  4. Microsoft and AirJaldi Networks, a leading provider of internet connectivity solutions for rural areas, have joined forces through a three-year Memorandum of Understanding titled ‘Contentful Connectivity’.

On 7 June 2023, Dutch Research Council (NWO) has named Indian-origin Scientist Joyeeta Gupta, Professor of Environment and Development in the global South at the University of Amsterdam, as the recipient of the 2023 NWO Spinoza Prize, the highest scientific awards in the Netherlands, for her scientific work promoting a fair and sustainable world.
  13. Sri Lanka is set to achieve regional energy integration with grid connectivity with India by 2030.
  14. Top Indian spinner Amlan Borgohain bagged two gold medals, one each in the men’s 100 and 200-meter races at the Flanders Cup 2023 athletics meet, known as the International Antwerp Athletics Gala, in Merksem, Belgium.
  15. Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan is set to launch a Learn and Earn program to teach employable skills to the youth. A total of 703 training areas have been identified for the scheme.
